Selva & Kavikuyil Sarojini

Such a fun wedding… enuf said…

One of the sole reasons why i traveled to India, to attend my buddy’s wedding at my home town. Shooting this marriage was certainly in my mind. When i attended the wedding reception the day previous to wedding, i realized that i’ll surely be pissing off the wedding camera crew if i have my gear in there. Even though i didn’t have any fancy light setup, the space was much limited to accommodate the camera crew and their gear.

This video was shot with my Canon 5d Mark II. Lenses used: Canon 16-35mm f2.8 II, Canon EF 14mm f/2.8L II USM. The entire video was shot with Technicolor CineStyle Preset for 5D MII and later color corrected using Premiere Pro CS5.

I was so thinking that i could use my Steadicam Merlin but i knew that wasn’t practically possible. So, I had the 5D MII mounted on my Manfrotto 561BHDV-1 Fluid Video Monopod. This setup was very easy to handle and run around without tripping off anyone. I didn’t have any continuous lighting setup of my own because i knew i cannot(or i didn’t have powerful lights to..) over power the camera crew’s lights.

Music Track: Anbil Avan(Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa)

Software used: Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.

And BTW, for my sweet friends who couldn’t  attend this beautiful wedding for whatever reason.. Here are the moments. Watch it in HD.

I wish a happy married life to Selva & Kavikuyil Sarojini.

Having seen you actually work the camera that day, I am so thrilled with the end result. Seriously amazing work, considering the limited factors under your control.

Cool blog too. Added to my RSS Reader.
